SUBSTANCE: invention relates to traffic control procedures, particularly, to the apparatuses for controlling vehicular traffic flow meant for control over parameters of multilane flow and flow density. The apparatus comprises the illuminator, data processor, communication means and video cameras. One of the latter means for spectrum IR band is directed at the right angle to the road surface and tuned to scanning of all lanes and flank of one traffic direction. At least one video camera directed at the acute angle to the road surface is used for identification and registration of the license plate. The logic controller presses the data to define the traffic parameters and those of vehicles rolling by. Besides, it controls the traffic to reveal the traffic disturbances and to transmit the data of said disturbances to the traffic control server to the nearest station of traffic police.
EFFECT: automatic traffic control and detection of road laws intruders.
