FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining 2-nitromethylenadamantane, which is initial compound for obtaining 2-functional adamantane derivatives, which demonstrate psychostimulating and anticataleptic activity. Method consists in interaction of 2-adamantanone and nitromethane in boiling for 24 h in presence of ethylenediamine with the following evapouration of reaction mass and separation of product. Method is characterised by the fact that interaction is carried out in presence of benzene in azeotropic distillation of water at molar ratio 2-adamantone:nitromethane:ethylenediamine equal 1:4:0.1. Before evapouration reaction mass is filtered through layer of silica gel, and product is separated by crystallisation from petroleum ether.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to simplify process of obtaining 2-nitromethylenediamine with preservation of high purity and output of target product.
