SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. A needle protector comprises two different plastic materials of different extensibilities having a central hole of a variable diameter. The central hole has a first diameter to retain a needle cap inside, wherein the central hole diameters varies once the needle cap diameter changes between the first and second ones, which is caused by a memory effect of the needle protector material. The needle protector is manufactured by two-stage injection moulding. A peripheral segment of a distal end wall is made of a relatively rigid plastic material. A peripheral segment of a distal end wall is made of a relatively rigid plastic material. The central hole is exclusively round in both positions related to the first and second diameters. A protective device for a pre-filled syringe comprises a hollow bearing case to retain the pre-filled syringe therein and the needle protector, which is configured to slide in relation to the bearing case. An injector comprises the protective device, pre-filled syringe with an injection needle. The latter is attached to a distal end of the pre-filled syringe, wherein the injection needle is covered with the cap, which is fixed by friction generated at the distal end of the pre-filled syringe. According to the invention, the needle cap projects through the central hole of the needle protector. The needle protector is engaged with the needle cap by friction generated.

EFFECT: inventions provide avoiding accidental needle stick injuries.
