FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies for production of composite materials based on metal oxides and non-metallic substances - thermally expanded graphite, and can be used in production of current-collecting elements of electric stock, sliding brushes in electric motors of low power, electrodes for electrochemical production and anode grounding conductors, et cetera. Method of producing composite material based on modified thermally expanded graphite involves mixing particles of thermally expanded graphite with an aqueous solution of sodium chloride, followed by electrochemical deposition of copper oxides. During preparation of suspension aqueous sodium chloride solution with concentration of 2 mol/l is used at constant stirring, and the electrodes are supplied with alternating pulse current with 50 Hz frequency. After synthesis composite suspension is settled in an electrolysis cell within one hour, precipitate is filtered and washed with bidistilled water followed by drying at temperature of 75-85°C during 2-3 hours.

EFFECT: using the given method enables to obtain articles with high specific electric conductivity, as well as low weight and high corrosion resistance.
