FIELD: meteorology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to meteorology and can be used to determine zones of possible icing of aircraft in real time. In compliance with this method is carried out registration of actual values of vertical profile of temperature of atmospheric boundary layer n times with the help of ground temperature geometry tool, which is installed in given area of observation, and according to ground-based observations of surface is determined value of relative air humidity, surface temperature dew point and value of height of lower edge of cloud cover. Then, mathematical processing of meteorological data, using calculation formula Godske or method, which is offered in NCEP. Method can be used primarily on airfields, where there is no detection of actual values of vertical profiles of temperature and humidity.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in reliability of determining aircraft icing.
