FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy. Method of sintering articles from powder of hard alloys of WC-Co group includes electric impulse pressing at pressure of 50-500 MPa, density of current pulse 50-500 rA/cm2 and current pulse duration of not more than 10-3 s. Electric pulse compaction is performed with achievement of the product temperature not exceeding 1,050 °C, then compressed product is continued with pulsed current with pulse current density 1-10 rA/cm2 till the product temperature of 1,100 °C.
EFFECT: improved physical and mechanical properties of obtained articles due to elimination of residual porosity.
