SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ion mobility spectrometry. Method is characterised by stress distributions applied to electrically conducting thread of gate, or their combination. Used stress distributions or combination thereof enable to narrow ion packet (impulse) on time by half-height by “pressing” rear front of ion packet and increasing its intensity without affecting state of charged particles.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in resolution of analyser, for example, ion mobility in wide range of time of opening gate of main pulse.
