SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in tooth gears lubricated by fictile lubricants. Gear wheel includes body, gear rim with teeth, in sections of which heads width of their side surfaces is made stepped varying and inversely proportional dependent of engagement pairing ratio. Width change boundary is shifted towards teeth tops on value equal to half of transmission axial clearance. On teeth ends and body ends sections adjacent to gear rim, pair of circular pads is fixed, which outer diameter is more than circle diameter circumscribed by heads side surfaces width change boundary.

EFFECT: optimized gear wheel design.
