FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in gears with cantilever arrangement of wheels on shafts. Gear wheel comprises a body, gear rim with teeth and pair of ring pads fixed on the teeth ends and parts of the ends of the body, adjacent to the gear rim, teeth heads of which are made with variable width, and inversely proportional to engagement frequency. Teeth are asymmetric and L-shaped in their main transverse plane section. Boundary change of heads width is displaced towards teeth tips by value of half of an axial transmission clearance. Ring pad fixed on the teeth ends with height equal to full height of the gear rim, has an outer diameter equal to a diameter of a circle of gear rim tips. Outer diameter of the second ring pad is equal to a diameter of a circle circumscribed by a boundary change of teeth heads width. Wheel is mounted on a cantilever shaft with reference to the side of the shaft of teeth ends with height equal to full height of the gear rim.
EFFECT: result is higher strength of the gear teeth.
