SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in tooth gears, mainly-coarse-grained. Gear wheel includes body, gear rim with teeth and pair of ring pads fixed on teeth ends and parts of wheel body adjacent to rim. Width of side surfaces of teeth along their height is variable depending on teeth engagement pairing and inversely proportional to expansion ratio. Tooth root width is equal to width of its legs in area of main circle.

EFFECT: optimized design of gear wheel, lower costs of its manufacturing.
