FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of cast iron or liquid steel semi-finished products. Containing iron ore raw material and additives if necessary, are reduced in at least one recovery unit (2) by means of reducing gas and at least part is melted in melting unit (1) with addition of coal with formation of reducing gas. Reducing gas from melting unit (1) and/or blast-furnace gas from reducing unit (2) is subject to cleaning. Cleaning includes dry cleaning (3) and wet cleaning (4, 5). Process water accumulated in wet cleaning, is subjected to degassing and connected in process water gases, particularly volatile organic compounds, removed from process water.
EFFECT: these gases are burnt at air supply or oxygen-containing gases for creation of energy and decomposition of toxic substances, preventing environmental pollution in production of cast iron or liquid steel semi-finished products.
