Imaging system comprises detector array with pixels of direct conversion detector, which detects radiation crossing imaging system examination region, and signal indicating detected radiation, pulse generating circuit are formed configured to alternative signal processing, indicating detected radiation formed by detector matrix, or a set of test pulses having different and known amplitude corresponding to various and known power levels and generating output pulses with amplitude indicating energy treated detected radiation or set of test pulses and threshold control circuit configured to analysis of amplitude of output pulses corresponding to a set of test pulses, together with those of a set of test pulses and a set of preset thresholds fixed energy, and threshold control signal generation that specifies beginning of counting, based on analysis result.
EFFECT: technical result is faster imaging system calibration.
