FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing. Grinding tool (1) includes core (2) and abrasive rim (4) containing abrasive particles (5) embedded into the matrix (6) containing a metal binding agent representing a fused bronze alloy and making 50-100 % of matrix volume, wherein metal binding agent contains silicon nitride in amount of 0.02-5.00 % of metallic binder, the silicon nitride is present in the form of grains with average size of less than 10 microns and more than 0.1 micron. Method involves fusing of abrasive particles together with metal powder containing copper and tin to produce matrix (6) in which abrasive particles (5) are embedded, and the matrix containing a metal binding agent represents fused bronze alloy; before fusing the metal powder is added with silicon nitride powder in such quantity that silicon nitride makes 0.02-5.00 % of metallic binder.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enhanced wear resistance ensuring even and predictable wear.
