Method of identification of containers includes loading containers for storage of set for processing into blood processing device, extraction of donor's identification data and storage containers data from set for processing, association of donor's identification data with containers for storage from set, treatment of whole blood so that separated blood product is transferred into containers for storage of set with data generation of container for storage, check of storage container data relative to donor's identification data and after checking disconnection of containers from set for processing. For method implementation programmable controller is used configured with possibility of automatic execution or with possibility of user's request of different stages of method. Method and blood processing system, including programmable controller are disclosed.

EFFECT: inventions provide automation and reduced errors number, when processing donor blood.
