FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: silencer contains an inlet pipe and a rigidly connected body made of a porous material, the body is made of a porous material in the form of a cylindrical and spherical shell. One end of the cylindrical shell is rigidly connected to the end of the inlet pipe, and the other end is rigidly connected to the spherical shell or made with it in one piece of porous material. The casing can be made of cermet or in the form of layered and cross-wound winding from porous filaments wound on an acoustically transparent framework, for example a wire frame, or from a rigid porous sound absorbing material, for example, a metal pylon or shell stone.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise suppression.
