GEAR BOX Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC F16H57/04

Abstract RU 2600271 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to machine parts, and can be used in multistep gear assemblies with large-diameter wheels lubricated by means of dipping. Gear box contains a casing with an oil bath, lower gear wheels of different gear steps are submerged into the liquid lubricating material of the oil bath. Part of the volume of the oil bath in which lubricating material excessive to ensure the optimum lubrication of the transmission elements can be located is substituted with a set of tight rigid shells of a regular shape, for example, spheres or cubes having air under atmospheric pressure inside. Volume of the oil bath occupied by the shells is limited by a grid, fitted into the housing of the gear reduction and having the size of cells that is less than the size of one shell. Grid is rigidly fixed in the housing of the gear reduction. Shells are made from oil-and-petrol resistance material. Cavities of shells are partially filled with ballast, for example sand.

EFFECT: lubricating material saving.
