FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, in particular, to machines parts, and can be used in multistep transmission gears with large-diameter wheels, lubricated by dipping. Gear box contains casing with oil bath, into liquid lubricating material of which lower gear wheels of different gear steps are submerged. Part of oil bath volume, in which lubricating material can be located, excessive to ensure optimal lubrication of gearing elements, is substituted with similar air volume, enclosed in tight rigid shell inscribed in reduction gear housing. Said shell is rigidly fixed in gear box housing with provision of required gaps between it and gearing elements.

EFFECT: provided is lubricating material saving.
