FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas and oil refining, specifically to methods of decomposing and recycling hydrogen sulphide, and can be used for producing hydrogen and sulphur from hydrogen sulphide. Method comprises forcing hydrogen sulphide at temperature 0-35 °C through layers of catalyst and sulphur sorbent loaded in series-arranged modules. Catalyst used is stainless steel chips with thickness 0.1-0.2 mm and length 1.5-5.5 mm, and number of modules with a catalyst and sulphur sorbent is 6-12. Gas mixture formed in last module is passed through ethanolamine solution for cleaning hydrogen from residues of hydrogen sulphide with subsequent desorption of hydrogen sulphide from ethanolamine solution. Sulphur desorption from sulphur sorbent is carried out with nitrogen at temperature 140-160 °C.
EFFECT: invention increases degree of conversion of hydrogen sulphide and prevents contamination of catalyst.
