METHOD OF LASER ENDOVENOUS THERMO-OBLITERATION OF SUBCUTANEOUS VEINS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61B18/20 A61M19/00 A61M25/01 A61K31/727 A61P9/00

Abstract RU 2601703 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to phlebology, and can be used for laser endovenous thermo-obliteration. For this purpose, under control of the ultrasonic device a catheter, through which a light guide to saphenofemoral junction, is inserted in vessel lumen. Introducer is used as a catheter. Before inserting the laser light guide through a dropper system, a vessel with a solution, containing 2,500 units of heparin per 100 ml of physiological solution, is attached to 3-running small cock of the introducer. First, 30-50 ml of solution is intermittently administered in the vein. Tumescence anaesthesia is performed by creation of a water "pad". After anaesthesia during the whole procedure of laser obliteration, drop introduction of 30-50 ml of solution in the vein is performed.

EFFECT: method provides preventing thrombosis in the vein, overheating of the light guide and possible destruction and fragmentation of the light guide as a result of preventing carbonisation of the light guide, improving optical laser permeability in the space between the light guide and vein wall, maintaining emission of laser radiation on venous wall at a constant level.
