FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed versions of the bacteria Escherichia coli, which are succinic acid producers. Escherichia coli bacterium is modified so that the genes ackA, pta, poxB, ldhA, adhE, ptsG are inactivated in it, expression of genes galP and glk is strengthened, and bacterium possessing activity of pyruvate carboxylase. Also disclosed a version of bacteria Escherichia coli, having inactivated genes ackA, pta, poxB, ldhA, adhE, ptsG, icIR reinforced by expression of genes galP and glk, and activity of pyruvate carboxylase. Also disclosed a version of bacteria Escherichia coli, having inactivated genes ackA, pta, poxB, ldhA, adhE, ptsG, enhanced by expression of genes galP and glk, enhanced by expression of genes aceE, aceF and lpdA, and activity of pyruvate carboxylase. Also disclosed a version of bacteria Escherichia coli, having inactivated genes ackA, pta, poxB, ldhA, adhE, ptsG, icIR, enhanced by expression of genes galP and glk, enhanced by expression of genes aceE, aceF and lpdA, and activity of pyruvate carboxylase. Also disclosed a version of bacteria Escherichia coli, having inactivated genes ackA, pta, poxB, IdhA, adhE, ptsG, pflB, enhanced by expression of genes galP and glk, enhanced by expression of genes aceE, aceF and lpdA, and activity of pyruvate carboxylase. Also disclosed a version of bacteria Escherichia coli, having inactivated genes ackA, pta, poxB, ldhA, adhE, ptsG, pflB, icIR, enhanced by expression of genes galP and glk, enhanced by expression of genes aceE, aceF and lpdA, and activity of pyruvate carboxylase. Disclosed a method for preparing succinic acid with using the above versions.
