SUBSTANCE: method for of chewing gum production includes supply of one or more gum ingredients, including at least elastomer, into continuous action extruder, containing plurality of screws; rotation of said plurality of screws and mixing of said one or more ingredients by rotating plurality of screws in continuous action extruder. Forming a partial chewing gum base. Then creating a flow of the partial chewing gum base including the one or more ingredients, through the continuous extruder towards a downstream extent of the plurality of screws via rotating and moving said flow of said at least chewing gum base component into said continuous action extruder area, which is located next to located downstream said plurality of screws section. At that, said flow has temperature of less than 90 °C at moment of said plurality of screws section reaching.
EFFECT: invention allows to produce chewing gum without need for heat removal between stages of extrusion and subsequent processing with the possibility to introduce thermally sensitive additional ingredients into chewing gum mass.
