FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: chewing gum base contains elastomer based on edible oil. Edible based on edible oil is produced by way of reaction of epoxidated edible oil with edible polyfunctional acid. Amount of elastomer based on edible oil is at least 15 % based on the finished piece of chewing gum. Elastomer based on edible oil has molecular weight from 8000 to 1300000. Food polyfunctional acid has at least three functional groups in its molecular structure.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at reduction or exclusion of products of oil processing from chewing gum base and production of ready chewing gum with acceptable rheological properties.
