FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing a catalyst based on copper and nickel oxides and hydroxides, deposited on solid solution of cadmium and zinc sulphides, used mostly as a photocatalyst for processes of photocatalytic extraction of hydrogen from aqueous solutions of Na2S/Na2SO3 under action of visible radiation. Method of producing composite photocatalyst comprises application of hydroxides of transition metals onto a solid solution of cadmium and zinc sulphides Cd0.3Zn0.7S, followed by drying. Disclosed method enables to obtain composite photocatalysts of composition: x%MO/M(OH)2/Cd0.3Zn0.7S, where M=Cu, Ni, x is 0.06-1.0, with high activity.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing a catalyst based on oxides and hydroxides of copper and nickel.
