SUBSTANCE: group of inventions discloses a steering mechanism including an interface to convert rotary motion into electrical signals and includes a mechanical drive, which can turn in the first direction and in the second direction, herewith the first and second electrical components are connected with the drive and are made so that rotation of drive in the first direction causes changes of electrical characteristics of the first electrical component, and rotation of the drive in the second direction causes changes of electrical characteristics of the second electrical component. First and second electrical components are connected with one or more electric circuits so, that rotation of the drive in the first and the second directions causes changes in one or more electric circuits. Also disclosed are a method of converting rotary motion of the steering mechanism into an electric signal and a vehicle equipped with the said steering mechanism.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement of reliability and dynamism of the steering mechanism due to transition of the above said system of steering control from the position between one extreme position and the neutral position to the position between the neutral position and the other extreme position without transition into the neutral position.
