Instructions cause at least one processor perform a step including obtaining a set of coefficients, representing a residual block of a partition, supporting sign data hiding, image, said set of coefficients includes a first non-zero coefficient, which has no sign indicating, as well as a step aimed at calculating sum of nonzero coefficients in said set of coefficients. At least one processor calculates parity data using said sum of nonzero coefficients and indication of sign for said first nonzero coefficient based on parity data.

EFFECT: reduced volume of transmitted data by hiding sign data.
