FIELD: image processing means.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image processing devices. Such result is achieved due to that, method comprises steps of: entropy decoding a received bit stream to reconstruct a difference value by dequantizing and inverse-transforming difference value; performing interframe prediction with respect to a prediction element, partitioned into at least two elements using an asymmetric partitioning method, wherein two prediction elements obtained by partitioning include a first prediction element obtained by partitioning and a second prediction element obtained by partitioning; and reconstruction of image by adding difference value to resultant prediction element, wherein step of generating resultant prediction element may include an interpolation step using a filter tap, having different length in horizontal or perpendicular direction, depending on length of first prediction element obtained by partitioning, wherein pixels of second prediction element obtained by partitioning is not used during interpolation.

EFFECT: technical result is improvement of efficiency of encoding and decoding video data.
