FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to decoding devices. Such a result is achieved by obtaining difference samples of a current block from a video signal; a reference image for the current block is selected; reference block in the reference image is determined; the reference samples are formed in a support block, with the formation of reference samples includes the determination of a first sub-sample; and a second sub-sample is determined based on an interpolation filter for vertical interpolation and a shift operation using a second shift value, wherein the interpolation filter for vertical interpolation is applied to the first sub-sample and the second sub-sample is one of a number of two samples in a quarter-pixel position and a sample in a half-pixel position aligned vertically under the first sub-sample; prediction samples of the current block are obtained by using reference samples; current block is recreated by using difference samples and prediction samples.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of video signal decoding efficiency.
