FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the medicine, particularly, to the stomatology, and may be used during dental prosthetics of a patient with full or partial tooth defects and tooth rows, visible while smiling. The method of the virtual smile prototyping includes a display of a patient's face in a real time, in stationary position on the screen of the tactile computer device. Moreover, the patient's face being displayed is located considering movable marks representing a horizontal line and a vertical line intercrossing in the center of a frame, as well as a pupil line and a smile line. The computer device contains a software configured for: selection of a position, shape, size, and color of teeth with the help of virtual tooth libraries. For combining of selected teeth with the patient's face with the possibility of modification of at least one of the shape, size, and color of selected teeth. For obtaining of a smile prototype and agreeing of the selection with the patient, and video recording of the patient with its smile prototype, and transfer of the smile prototype to a dental department for further production of prosthetic dentures. The system of virtual smile prototyping based on the tactile computer device includes: a database of virtual tooth libraries, a selection platform of position, shape, size, and color of teeth from the virtual tooth libraries, and analytical platform for combining of selected teeth with the patient's face, a platform for creation and saving of a patient's smile prototype in a database, and a module for data transfer to an external medium. Allows a patient to evaluate it from functional and esthetic points of view due to the usage of the tactile computer device, positioning with the help of the movable marks, as well as combining of photo and video camera, and smile modelling program in a single device.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows easily, quickly, and accurately creating a virtual smile prototype of a patient, moreover, such prototype is dynamically changeable and integrated into the patient's image.
