FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: patients are selected with cardiovascular system, respiratory system diseases, over 65 years, with a body mass index over 30 kg/m2, SAPS> 4. Pseudoabdominal compression is used. The degree of heart performance deviation from normal is determined by echocardiography and reduced external respiration is determined by spirography. Determinations are performed 5 times. According to the most pronounced heart performance deviation from the normal and the external breathing parameters indicator reduction, the risk of cardiorespiratory complications is determined according to the table in fig. 1.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the effectiveness of treatment of patients with unfavorable comorbid background, to choose the most secure technique for patient surgery, to establish the need for preoperative preparation by conducting pseudoabdominal compression and evaluation of the most significant and objective indicators.
