FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of applying a wear-resistant coating based on carbon nitride on the product includes ion-plasma cleaning and heating of the product surface to 200-450°C, ion-plasma deposition in the argon atmosphere of the Ti transition layer, ion-plasma deposition of the TiN transition layer in the nitrogen atmosphere, ion-plasma deposition of the diamond-like film CNX in an atmosphere of nitrogen by a pulsed arc discharge in the form of clusters of a carbon plasma of density 5⋅1012-1⋅1013 cm-3, a pulse duration of 200-600 mcs, and a repetition rate of 1-5 Hz. In particular cases of embodiment of the invention in forming intermediate layers Ti and TiN magnetic separation is carried out of the plasma stream. A layer of a diamond-like film CNX coatings are applied with a thickness of 0.2-2.0 mcm. Applying a layer of diamond film is carried out by alternating deposition of diamond-like layer and treating the layer with argon ions. During ion-plasma cleaning, an impulse negative voltage is applied to the product.
EFFECT: improving the wear resistance of the surface of the coating due to carbon-based nitride.
