SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for nickel catalyst preparation comprising inert carrier impregnation with an aqueous solution or aqueous suspension of nickel salt with a concentration of 8-12 wt % based on the nickel content of the carrier equal to 2.5-7 wt %, drying of the resulting mixture for 5-6 hours at 20-25°C and calcination in an oven at a temperature of 230-260°C for 40-45 minutes at a pressure of less than 5 Pa.
EFFECT: reduced metal particle characteristic size to increase the resulting catalyst activity.
