FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: method involves mechanically dispersing the metallic material to produce a polydisperse metal powder, mixing the polydisperse metal powder mixture with a chemically inert liquid medium to form a slurry. With stirring, a diamond powder is introduced into the slurry. The suspension is affected by ultrasonic oscillations in cavitation mode. Remove the diamond powder from the slurry. Further, a finely dispersed fraction of the metal powder is recovered from the slurry.

EFFECT: increasing the yield share of the fine powder fraction of the powder, the dispersion of non-magnetically conductive powders and plastic powders prone to segregation.
