SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, an effective solar panel made multi-junction with a protective diode is proposed. The multi-junction solar panel and the protective diode structure have the common back surface and the front sides separated by a mesa-groove, the common back surface includes an electrically conductive layer, the multi-junction solar panel includes the stack of several solar panels and has the upper solar battery disposed closest to the front side and the lower solar battery disposed closest to the back side; each solar battery includes a np-junction; tunnel diodes are arranged between adjacent solar panels; the number of semiconductor layers of the protective diode structure is less than the number of semiconductor layers in the multi-junction solar panel, the sequence of semiconductor layers in the protective diode structure is identical to the sequence of semiconductor layers of the multi-junction solar panel. In the protection diode structure at least one upper protective diode and one lower protective diode closest to the back side is formed, and a tunnel diode is disposed between the adjacent protective diodes; the number of np-junctions in the protection diode structure is at least by one less than the number of np-junctions of the multi-junction solar panel, a connecting contact structure comprising one or more metal layers is made on the front side of the multi-junction solar panel and the protective diode structure, and a conductive semiconductor contact layer consisting of several layers is made under the connecting contact structure, and said several semiconductor layers comprise the tunnel diode.
