FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to a waveguide resonator for measurement of dielectric liquid permeability. A nominal value of tension of an electrical field of a standing electromagnetic wave, in particular its minimum, is first determined in a fixed section of a segment of a long line with a reference value of a magnitude of dielectric liquid permeability, after which, during measurements, a frequency of excited electromagnetic waves is changed until tension of the electrical field of the standing electromagnetic wave reaches the nominal value, in particular its minimum, with the measured value of dielectric liquid permeability in this fixed section of the segment of the long line, and the value of measured dielectric liquid permeability is judged by the value of this frequency.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measurements.
