SUBSTANCE: storage battery control system is presented. It is connected to the storage battery and controls its charging/discharging. The system comprises of the following: a current sensor that measures the current value by determining the charge/discharge current flowing through the battery; a voltage sensor that detects the battery voltage; a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the battery; the calculator of the effective value of current which, basing on the current value measured by the current sensor, calculates the effective value of current in the specified time interval; a time coefficient calculator that determines the time coefficient indicating a moment of the time during which the effective value of current exceeds a predetermined allowed value for a predetermined period of time; and a charge/discharge limiter that limits the charge/discharge current based on the time coefficient determined by the time coefficient calculator.

EFFECT: preventing the storage battery performance degradation.
