FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: electrochemical manufacture method of the tungsten silicide powder involves the electrolysis of the melt at the temperature of 850-950°C, containing the sodium chloride, the sodium tungstate and the silicon dioxide. The method is characterized in that the sodium fluoride is additionally introduced in the following component ratio, wt %: sodium chloride from 56.75 up to 57.33; sodium fluoride from 40.75 up to 41.17; sodium tungstate from 0.80 to 1.20; silica from 0.80 to 1.20. In order to increase the dispersion the electrolysis is carried out at the voltage of 2.8 V in the bath.
EFFECT: invention consists in the possibility of obtaining the tungsten silicide powder, using the available salts, that exclude the possibility of contamination by the other metals (aluminium) and with the powder particle size of 2-20 mcm.
