FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance with reaction equation, the original components, taken in equivalent amounts, are mixed and thoroughly grinded in mortar, loaded into platinum capsule and lowered into a shaft furnace, the temperature in which is gradually raised to 550-600°C, and maintained for 1 hour. The melt is poured onto a steel substrate and after cooling thoroughly grinded in mortar, and lead molybdate (PbMoO4) is washed from slag (sulphates) in hot water for 20 minutes, then filtered by washing with water. The obtained PbMoO4 powder is dried at 300°C, and then calcined at 500°C.

EFFECT: obtaining clean lead molybdate, reducing time of synthesis and energy consumption.
