FIELD: electricity-producing industry.
SUBSTANCE: hydrogen plant includes a desulphurization unit, a carbon monoxide converter, a methane recovery device, two recuperative heat exchangers with a steam trap, a raw material converter with a burner, a water treatment unit and a hydrogen evolution unit. Raw materials containing hydrocarbons C3+, are purified in the desulphurisation unit and supplied together with the prepared water to the carbon monoxide converter as refrigerant, then the heated raw mixture is further heated in the recuperative heat exchangers, separating the purge water in the steam trap and feeding it to the water treatment unit and directed to the raw material converter with the burner to which air, at least a portion of methane and purge gas are supplied as fuel, and the flue gas is withdrawn. The produced synthesis gas is fed through the recuperative heat exchangers to the methane recovery device where it is further cooled, condensate is separated to be fed to the carbon monoxide converter is and methane is released, at least some of which is supplied to the burner as fuel and the balance portion is withdrawn. The methane-free synthesis gas is then sent to the carbon monoxide converter from which the hydrogen-containing gas is directed to the hydrogen evolution unit from which hydrogen and aqueous condensate are directed to the water treatment unit into which water is also fed.
EFFECT: reduced energy consumption and raw material consumption.
