SUBSTANCE: magnetic resonance imaging system includes a noise reduction unit and a reconstruction unit. The noise reduction unit clears the image component from noise and provides a spatially localized measure of noise reduction efficiency. The reconstruction unit iteratively reconstructs the output image from the received MR data processed by the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and, in subsequent iterations, includes a noise-cleaned image component and a spatially localized noise reduction efficiency measure.
EFFECT: improving the image quality by using a noise reduction filter.
