METHOD FOR QUANTITATIVE ESTIMATION OF SEVERITY OF ALCOHOLIC CIRRHOSIS AND PREDICTION OF FATALITY DURING CURRENT HOSPITALISATION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2747771 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to gastroenterology, and is intended for estimating severity and predicting the nearest (within 4 weeks) fatality in patients with decompensated alcoholic cirrhosis. For estimation of the severity of immune inflammation, the level of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (biomarker A), interleukin-4 (biomarker B), interleukin-6 (biomarker C) is determined, for estimation of the degree of fibrosis the level of type 4 collagen (biomarker D) is determined, for estimation of the level of hepatocytic apoptosis the level of cytokeratin-18 (biomarker E) is determined. Biomarker levels are ranked on a 5-point scale. Estimation of the severity of alcoholic cirrhosis and prediction of fatality during the current hospitalisation is performed according to the total number of points, wherein the higher values on the scale correspond with a more severe course of the disease, and fatality during the current hospitalisation is predicted for patients with a value of 20 points on the scale or more.

EFFECT: invention improves accuracy of estimation of the severity of alcoholic cirrhosis and prediction of fatality during the current hospitalisation.
