FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an insert-free label or tape which comprises a substantially biodegradable woven or nonwoven, natural or synthetic substrate impregnated with a composition comprising at least 90 wt % of polyesteramide segment block copolymer. The label's advantage is that it is able to be produced so that it is substantially non-adhesive at room temperature or storage temperature and can still be easily bonded to the substrate when heated above the melting point of the impregnating agent, preferably in the range from 60°C to 150°C. The "insert-free" is defined as not requiring a separate ejection layer and a release coating to facilitate coiling and stacking is also not required.
EFFECT: label or tape can be conveniently obtained above the melting point of the copolymer and is suitable for printing.
