SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to polymerisation catalysts, specifically to a catalyst of formula (I):

In formula (I) M1 and M2 are independently selected from Zn(II), Cr(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Mg(II), Fe(II), Ti(II), V(II), Cr(III)-X, Co(III)-X, Ni(III)-X, Mn(III)-X, Fe(III)-X, Ca(II), Ge(II), Al(III)-X, Ti(III)-X, V(III)-X, Ge(IV)-(X)2 or Ti(IV)-(X)2, value of radicals is given in the claim. E3, E4, E5 and E6, at least in one position differs from E3, E4, E5 and E6 in other positions. Invention also discloses a ligand of formula (II), a method of producing a ligand, a method of reacting carbon dioxide with epoxide, reacting epoxide and anhydride, reacting lactide and/or lactone in the presence of a catalyst of formula (I).
EFFECT: disclosed catalysts enable to obtain polymer products with high activity and selectivity.
