FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the stage of implementing the reaction of carbon dioxide with, at least, one epoxide in the presence of a catalyst of formula where R1 and R2 represent hydrogen, halide, a nitro group, a nitrile group, imin, amin, a group of simple ether, or group of simple silyl ether, or optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, alicyclic or heteroalicyclic group; R3 is selected from optionally substituted alkylene, alcanena, heteroalkyl, heteroantisera, arylene, heteroaryl or cycloalkyl, where the alkylene, albaniles, heteroalkyl, and can optionally be interrupted by aryl, heteroaryl, alicyclic or heteroalicyclic group; R4 is selected from H or optionally substituted aliphatic or heteroaromatics group; R5 represents H or optionally substituted aliphatic, heteroaromatics, aryl, a heteroaryl group; E1 represents C, E2 represents O; X is selected from OC(O) Rx, OSO2Rx, OSORx, OSO (Rx)2, ORx, phosphinate, halide, nitrate, carbonate, or optionally substituted aliphatic, heteroaromatics, aryl or heteroaryl group; Rx represents hydrogen or optionally substituted aliphatic, heteroaromatics, aryl or heteroaryl group; G is absent or selected from neutral or anionic ligand donor, which is a Lewis base; M is selected from Zn(II), Cr(II), Co(II), Mg(II), Fe(II)Cr(III)-X, Co(III)-X, Fe(III)-X or Al(III)-X; and the regulator polymerization degree, selected from water or compounds of formula (II). When the degree of polymerization regulator is water, it is present in a molar ratio of, at least 1:1 with respect to the catalyst of formula (I). A polymerization system, a copolymer, a process for its preparation, a catalyst of formula (III) are also provided.
EFFECT: method makes allows to obtain polycarbonates that have hydroxyl groups at the ends, avoiding the need for purification/isolation steps.
