FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method includes removal of an oxidised layer mechanically from the surface of the inner sleeve of the tuyere at the side of a blowing channel and a nose, application of an aluminium-containing plaster on the outer surface of the tuyere nose and installation of the tuyere in the furnace at least a day after application of the specified plaster. At the same time two layers of the specified plaster are applied with thickness of the first layer equal to not more than 0.3 mm and the second one - 0.5-1.0 mm. After application of each layer the plastered surface is heated to 150-200°C and maintained at this temperature for at least 30 min.

EFFECT: increased resistance of an air tuyere by burnout and reduced heat losses via its surface.
