FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: this method is based on the use of a hexahistidine-containing organophosphate hydrolase exhibiting high lactonase activity with a broad spectrum of action, which is administered as a highly purified soluble or rehydrated lyophilized preparation, or an enzyme polyelectrolyte complex, or an immobilized enzyme preparation, or a cellular homogenate supernatant in a mycotoxin-containing reaction medium in a concentration of up to 0.5 g/kg or 0.5 g/l, followed by a lactone hydrolysis process up to 95-100%. The method allows to use the same enzyme to neutralise not one but several different mycotoxins having a lactone ring, including individual mycotoxins, patulin and sterigmatocystin, for which no analogous enzymatic decomposition is known at all, and also allows to use various catalytic forms of enzymes, allowing to keep its stability of action in a wide range of pH and in environments with different, including extremely high and extremely toxic, mycotoxins concentration.
