SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing rod-shaped products, in which rod-shaped products are manufactured on a plant for manufacturing rod-shaped products, or rod-shaped products are fed from a feeding device; measurement with a first measurement accuracy is carried out on a first measuring module for measuring at least one quality parameter of the manufactured rod-shaped products, said quality parameter having a predetermined range of allowable parameter values; a flow of rod-shaped products is divided into a first flow comprising rod-shaped products, for which said quality parameter falls within the range of the allowable parameter values, and a second flow of rod-shaped products, for which said at least one quality parameter does not fall within the range of allowable parameter values; the first flow is moved as the output flow of the rod-shaped products of the manufacturing system by means of a first moving device, the second flow of the rod-shaped products being moved through the quality re-checking path on a measuring conveyor and re-measuring on a second measuring module with a second measurement accuracy higher than the first measurement accuracy of the first measuring module; and the checked rod-shaped product is moved by the second moving device to the output flow of the rod-shaped products on the first moving device, if the result of re-checking the said quality parameter for a certain rod-shaped product falls within the range of allowable values of said parameter.
EFFECT: creating a system that will reject only defective products from production and which will not reject products having appropriate quality parameters.
