FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: general prenatal hypoxic hypoxia in pregnant Chinchilla rabbits is determined for a period of 27-28 days. To do this, they are placed in a hypoxic chamber containing 10±2% oxygen and 90%±2% nitrogen for 60 minutes. The animals are then slaughtered and hysterectomy is performed after 15 minutes, fetal sacs are opened, samples of amniotic fluid are collected. The concentration of lactate and urea is determined in these samples with the calculation of the lactate/urea ratio. At a lactate/urea ratio greater than 2.0-2.5 mmol/l, fetal hypoxia is diagnosed.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of the fetal hypoxia diagnosis, which is a key task in solving the problem of creation and evaluation of the effectiveness of therapeutic strategies for fetal perinatal hypoxia.
