SUBSTANCE: image fixing device and methods of excitating an image fixing device are disclosed. The pixel part of the device includes a plurality of the first pixel rows and a plurality of the second pixel rows, each of which is arranged in such a way that it is adjacent to the first pixel row. From the first pixel row and the second pixel row arranged in such a way that they are adjacent to each other for, at least, a part of the period from the accumulation period end of the electric charge in the second pixel row to the end of the output period, in which signals from the pixels in the first pixel row are output, the electric charges accumulated in the photoelectric conversion units of the pixels in the second pixel row are reset. The first pixel row includes an image fixing pixel, and the second pixel row includes a focus detecting pixel.
EFFECT: improving the quality of image fixation while reducing the effect of interference and adverse conditions.
