FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises alkoxylating zirconium tetrachloride with an excess of isopropyl alcohol in dibutyl ether under heating followed by sequential alkoxylation of titanium tetrachloride with isopropyl alcohol in the alkoxide-active medium of zirconium tetrachloride under heating, followed by reaction of the resulting mixed alkoxy derivatives of zirconium and titanium with tetraethoxysilane. The produced product is subjected to hydrolysis and polycondensation. Polycondensation is carried out with stepwise heating and reduced pressure.
EFFECT: producing a molybdenum adsorbent having a high capacity, a low degree of desorption of molybdenum with a solution of sodium chloride, and the resistance of the sorbent to hydrolytic degradation.
