FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: place the electrodes in separate electrode holders, alternately melt the electrodes by cutting off the arc on one of them and maintaining it on the other. And the welding arc is forcibly disconnected by turning off the current in the welding circuit of the electrode. Before welding, the melting time of the coated part of the electrodes is determined, depending on the arc current in single-electrode welding. In this process, during the welding, the polarity of the product is periodically changed, keeping the polarity of each electrode. When the current value of the currents in the electrodes are chosen depending on the time of melting of the coated part of the electrodes as a function of arc current during single-electrode welding, determined before welding, and from the condition of the same time of melting of the coated part of the electrodes.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide welding without short-circuits of the arc gap and to improve the quality of the seam.
